Assistant Scientist Position- Toxico-genomics

 

 

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale seeks to fill an Assistant Scientist position available July 1, 2008.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree in chemistry, toxicology or biochemistry is required with the primary research field being in toxico-genomics
  • Research experience with conducting dietary toxicity studies using rodent and/or fish models
  • Experience in RNA expression, isolation, purification and quantitative PCR analysis
  • Experience in conducting global RNA expression analysis using available technologies
  • Experience in data mining of global expression results and interpretation of results using gene ontology methods
