TITLE: Deer Tracking
DESCRIPTION: Participants accompanied Dr. Eric Schauber into the field to use radio telemetry to determine the location of radio-collared deer. Students had an opportunity to use a directional antenna, a map, and a protractor to triangulate the positions of several deer. Learn about how deer coexist with humans on the outskirts of Carbondale, and how the information we collect is used to inform wildlife management decisions.
