33rd Illinois Junior Science
and Humanities Symposium
March 24-26, 2011
INSTRUCTIONS:(
2011 Labs "to be arranged" )
First, look at the list for each day and see the overview of what is available. Each lab is numbered, e.g., Friday, Lab #1 is F1, and Saturday, Lab #1 is S1. The title is listed next, followed by the content area, staff, and day.
Indicate your lab preferences in priority order for each day--1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice.
Read all descriptions, and make your choices carefully. You cannot change labs once you come to the symposium. Each group will have an escort, so participants from your school do not have to stay together! Please, teachers, let your students choose according to their interests, not yours.
Please understand that it is totally up to the faculty member whether to include hands-on activities or not. Some labs are simply not appropriate for hands-on activities because of the expensive equipment, time limits, etc.
Please fax the form back to me at 618-453-5680 or send the information via email to vsneed@siu.edu. Please write your choices in large, clear writing. Faxed copies are normally very difficult to read.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me at work (618-453-7062) or email me at jwetstein@cos.siu.edu.
