The Department of Zoology offers B.A., B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees for students interested in the scientific study of animals. The faculty maintains expertise in conservation biology, ecology and ecosystem studies, evolutionary biology and systematics, fisheries biology and aquaculture, environmental toxicology, and wildlife ecology and management. In collaboration with other life-science programs at SIUC, Zoology staff and students engage in interdisciplinary scholarship and training activities that extend from molecular to ecosystem levels.
