Although labelled "ileum" (lower small intestine), this slide actually bears a specimen of colon (large intestine).
Week 3 -- Look for connective tissue, especially lamina propria (immediately beneath the epithelium) and submucosa (deep to the lamina propria).
Week 2 -- Find simple columnar epithelium, lining the bowel lumen.
