Testis, rat. Per-iodic acid methionine stain (stain is uncertain for specimens in Boxes 2, 6, 7).
Note that nuclei in rat Sertoli cells are located at the base of the epithelium (unlike those humans, where the nuclei typically lie midway up the epithelium). In both rat and human, Sertoli cell nuclei have distinct nucleoli.
