Week 3 -- Look for connective tissue, especially lamina propria (immediately beneath the epithelium, interspersed among the glands) and submucosa (deep to the lamina propria).

Week 2 -- Find stratified squamous epithelium (lining esophageal lumen), simple columnar epithelium (lining the stomach lumen), and glandular tissue (in the gastric mucosa).
